Bike Tours by Jay Jacobson
Jay is one of the "most travelled" NYCC members since joining the club in 1994. He has been a B16 cyclist since then!
He has cycled almost 200,000 miles, in all 50 states, all the provinces and states of Canada and Australia and about 60 other countries. He has written many articles and given many talks on this subject.
He has led more than 150 B rides. His wife Joan and he live in Piermont. Many of the rides he has led have visited their home which contains their cycling and touring museum.
He plans to describe how a member can select and prepare for a domestic or international bike tour and what to expect on one.
Many of you have met Joan and Jay's oldest granddaughter who has seen us off and lives near the West 72nd Street starting point. Incidentally Jay is planning to celebrate his 80th birthday on a bike tour in India in February.
